Short overview

Wrocław, Poland
Hotel, Restaurant + Bar
Hybrid lifting stations
The Hotel Monopol Wrocław is an exclusive 5-star hotel in the heart of Wrocław, offering a unique blend of historic architecture and modern interior design. This historic building, dating from 1892 and constructed in the Neo-Baroque style, is one of the city’s oldest hotel buildings and underwent extensive renovation at the turn of the century. All the historic features were preserved and carefully restored, whilst the interiors were given a contemporary, luxurious look. The result is an architecturally unique hotel that meets the highest European standards and occupies a special place amongst the city’s most discerning hotels. The hotel offers its guests high-quality facilities, including two restaurants, a café-bar and several spacious summer terraces. The culinary offering ranges from innovative takes on Polish cuisine at the Monopol restaurant to Italian-inspired dining at the Ristorante Acquario on the hotel’s sixth floor. The dining concept is complemented by stylish outdoor areas that provide space for relaxation, events and special evenings. A luxurious wellness and spa area with a pool, sauna, steam room, salt cave and fitness room rounds off the facilities and places high demands on technology, drainage and operational safety. To ensure consistently reliable and compliant operation, various drainage solutions from KESSEL have been installed at the Hotel Monopol Wrocław. The hotel has been relying on KESSEL’s grease separator solutions and backflow protection for more than 20 years. In addition, several Ecolift L hybrid lifting station are now in use within the overall system. These innovative solutions utilise gravity to discharge wastewater where there is a natural gradient towards the sewer, and thus operate completely without electricity and silently during normal operation. Only in the event of a backflow does the pump switch on automatically and actively discharge the wastewater via the conventional backflow loop. This operating principle ensures energy-efficient, cost-effective and convenient operation. The Ecolift L reliably protects all drainage points below the backflow level against backflow and is ideally suited to both new builds and refurbishment projects. The system thus makes a significant contribution to operational reliability and the protection of sensitive areas within buildings.
